Here is the opportunity for all Abberly Village amateur photographers; a photo contest that truly speaks of South Carolina.  The purpose of the South Carolina Picture Project is to celebrate the beauty of the Palmetto State while preserving some of its vanishing landscapes.

The hope is that it will create pride among South Carolinians and provide joy and inspiration to those who live far away. And, West Columbia is the perfect place to take photo's, just minutes away from the state capital.

Over 80,000 people view the SC Picture Project each month. Submitting a photo is a great way to honor our home or favorite historic landmark. Help document South Carolina's history, culture, and beauty.

• 1st place receives $300 – plus it will be featured as the "SC Photo of the Month" for July!
