This year festivities in Columbia, SC include the Krewe de Columbi Ya Ya Mardi Gras parade, the all-day Animal Mission Party Animals Mardi Gras festival, and a new addition- the Lagniappe 5k run. All the fun takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2015.
The Parade: Let the good times roll!
The Krewe de Columbi Ya Ya, hosts the annual Mardi Gras Parade. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun, but wear a costume! The parade begins at Owens Field at 11:00 am and wends its way through Rosewood back to City Roots Urban Farm in time for the Animal Mission Party Animals Mardi Gras Festival.

Animal Mission Party Animals Mardi Gras Festival is a family-friendly fundraiser for the Animal Mission of the Midlands, featuring a legendary musical lineup orchestrated by the father of Columbia’s Mardi Gras, Kaptain Tom Hall. Throw in food, drinks, dancing, and BAM! It’s one heck of a party.
